Giving Tuesday 2025
We Solve a Crisis that Few See… and Very Few Know How to Help
When meditation causes psychological collapse, the isolation is profound. As one community member described, "I was no longer a 50-year-old woman... I was like a six-year-old. It was just terror." Your gift provides immediate, compassionate care for individuals caught in this unique and terrifying crisis.
Your Gift Funds the Active Ingredient
Our model is research-backed. Studies show that real healing comes not from meditation time, but from the quality of the relationships and community around you (Dr. Nick Canby). Your support funds the expert staff and peer-support infrastructure that is proven to help people recover.
Donate to Help Someone Reclaim a Full Life
We don't just stop the harm; we help people reclaim their future. A donor's gift provides the tools for recovery, allowing people to realize they are not alone, they are not broken, and healing is possible. Help us make this profound acceptance possible for everyone.
This Giving Tuesday, help us give meditators in distress real support.
Cheetah House is providing essential, invaluable support for meditators in distress. I started developing very disturbing symptoms following a 9-day retreat. (Major weight loss, depression, fear, dissociation, cognitive issues, etc.) I was in the dark for two years, trying to understand what had happened to me. Finally, I discovered Cheetah House. They helped me understand that I had encountered meditation-related adverse effects, and why that happened. Learning this was the beginning of my recovery. Beyond information, they provided individual and group support, which has really helped me to come back from that dark place. I am immeasurably grateful for their kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate help. Cheetah House gave me my life back.

Did you know?
In the past 4 years, Cheetah House has donated $60,000 in free or discounted services directly to meditators-in-distress.
Or that younger meditators may be more likely to experience meditation-related adverse effects (Goldberg et al. 2022)?
This special fund supports meditators under the age of 30
Young meditators often have less financial stability and report payment as their main barrier to support.
This Giving Season, give meditators under the age of 30 the gift of accessible peer consultations, support groups, research-based information, and hope!!
